It’s been nearly 19 years ago that I became a Real Estate Agent and joined the Semonin Realtors team, a Berkshire Hathaway Affiliate. Because I have taken advantage of much training, many marketing tools, and knowledgeable managers that Semonin provide, I am now considered a Real Estate Professional. I love being a Realtor because I love people. I love helping people obtain their goal of home ownership. Selling and finding a home on one’s own can be a long, hard, frustrating, and exhausting task. Yes, I enjoy easing the burden and turning the nightmare into a more fun-like memorable experience.
Prior to becoming a Realtor, I was a social worker for 23 years at a local nursing facility. That’s when I first realized how much I loved working with the elderly population in helping them to maintain their patient rights and to ensure their rights were not violated. Still today, I love helping the Aging Population in their decision-making process to downsize to a garden home, a condominium, or even an assisted living home. And that’s why I chose to obtain my SRES designation to become more aware of how to assist the aging at a time when keeping up a home becomes impossible.
I am a wonderful wife to my wonderful husband of 21 years, and combined we have 7 wonderful adult children and 17 even-more-than wonderful grandchildren! I have had the pleasure and have enjoyed assisting my children in purchasing and selling their homes and thus I have discovered that I like working with Millennials, too! Over the years, I have learned how to email and text and not to expect much conversation via phone from this particular population. Indeed, that was strange at first, but I’ve caught on.
